Bass Valley and Hinterland Public Art

Bass Coast Public Art

Commission value – $47,000

Bass Coast Shire Council is extending an invitation to suitably experienced artists to create a contemporary public artwork to be situated in the Bass Valley and Hinterland Region.

Artists are invited to submit design concepts which will deliver an innovative and engaging creative artwork.

The Bass Valley and Hinterland Region Public Art Project is being delivered as part of Council’s annual Public Art Program.

Artists are to propose the preferred site/s within the region, which will be subject to Council approval. Please contact Council’s project manager prior to submitting an EOI to discuss land manager approval. Depending on the nature of the work proposed the artist may select a single site or an array of smaller discreet locations scattered across the region.

A key aim for the commission is that it provides an additional attraction to the area, drawing visitors to explore the Hinterland region.
