William Shakespeare’s classic comedy, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, is set in Athens.  Four Athenian lovers’ lives are twisted and turned by the meddling of the fairies who live within the forest.  Hermia and Lysander are madly in love and wish to marry.  But Hermia’s father, Theseus, wants her to marry Demetrius, who is keen to marry her.  Her father threatens Hermia with a future in a nunnery or death if she does not obey him.  Hermia’s childhood friend, Helena is in love with Demetrius and his romantic feelings are not returned.

Lysander and Hermia run away together into the forest, and Demetrious and Helena follow after.   Oberon, the King of the fairies, sees Demetrious and Helena and wants to give her the man of her dreams, with a little help from a love potion.  Whilst a person is sleeping, the potion can be poured over their eyes and they will fall in love with the first person he/she sees.  He asks his fairy friend, Puck, to help him with the task. But something goes wrong.   Puck unware of what the pair look like, accidently pours the potion on Lysander’s eyes and this is where things start to become chaotic.  Falling in love can make fools of us all, but the tale ends with Oberon who decides to put the four lovers to sleep.  Once all four of them wake up, they leave the forest and return back to Athens, and try to make sense of what they think is an extraordinary dream.

Is the true value of art in the eyes of the beholder?  Maude (Julie Nihill), an unemployed bartender, has bought a painting for a few bucks from an op shop.  She is certain it is a Jackson Pollock worth millions.

World-class art expert, Lionel Percy (John Wood), arrives from New York to her trailer park home in Bakersfield to authenticate the painting, he really has no idea what he’s about to discover.

Based on a true story, Bakersfield Mist is a comedy set in the present day.

On the 45th anniversary of one of the best-selling albums of all time, Carole King’s pop masterpiece, Tapestry was celebrated by two of Australia’s most loved vocalists in three sold out shows at the Arts Centre, Melbourne in August 2016.

Iconic performers Vika Bull and Debra Byrne along with The Brill Band, featuring some of Australia’s finest musicians, re imagined the songs of the “most successful and revered female songwriter in pop music history”.

Backed by a dynamic, 5 piece band, this is not a tribute show, but a young lady with the ability to pay homage to the amazing vocal talents of these 2 women.
